The British Embassy in Sarajevo has a branch office in Banja Luka, with one UK-based member of staff and several locally engaged staff. The Head of Office is Timothy Less.
 
The primary purpose of the British Embassy Office in Banja Luka is to ensure that UK Government priorities are understood and acted upon by the Republika Srpska Entity Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as by international organisations working to implement the Dayton Peace Agreement.
 
The British Embassy Office in Banja Luka works to provide British trade and investment links between Britain and BiH, supports British technical assistance activities, as well as facilitating consular protection of British citizens in the North West of BiH.
